Arizona Diamondbacks Tickets Information
Arizona Diamondbacks Tickets Information Established in 1998, the Arizona Diamondbacks are a Major League Baseball team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Nicknamed "D-Backs" and `the "Snakes", the Arizona Diamondbacks are 1 of 5 teams - along with the Colorado Rockies, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the San Diego Padres, and the San Francisco Giants - that play in the West Division of the 16-team National League. The Arizona Diamondbacks played their first game on March 31, 1998 against the Colorado Rockies, and lost. Their first win came on April 5, 1998 against the San Francisco Giants, 3-2. Since their recent beginnings, the Arizona Diamondbacks have played their home games at Chase Field (formerly known as Bank One Ballpark), and they conduct Spring Training at Tucson Electric Park in Tucson, Arizona as part of the Cactus League. The team uniform colors are "Sonoran Sand", "Sedona Red", and black. In their brief franchise history, the Arizona Diamondbacks have already participated in 3 playoffs, having taken the Western Division titles in 1999, 2001, and 2002. The team has as of yet won no Wild Card Berths, but they did win the 2001 National League pennant and World Series title. No Arizona Diamondbacks have made it to the Baseball Hall of Fame yet, but give them time. Already they`ve had legends in the making in their rosters, including: 2002 Triple Crown winning pitcher and 4-time consecutive Cy Young Award winner Randy Johnson, Silver Slugger winner Luis Gonzalez, and 2-time Gold Glove winner Steve Finley. In 2005-06 the Arizona Diamondbacks finished in a 3-way tie with the San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies for second place in the division, posting 76 wins and 86 losses (though technically it could be said the Giants had the lock on it as the Diamondbacks and the Rockies posted 76 wins and 86 losses). The competition in the West Division is so evenly matched that people are going crazy sweeping up all the Arizona Diamondbacks tickets they can. Get yours while you still can.
